As the name suggests Yin Yang Martial Arts offers both “hard” & “soft” styles of Martial Arts to suit everyone.
Taekwondo (the way of hand & fist) is a strong style whereas Hapkido combines strength with harmony in movement.
Tai Chi on the other hand is the gentle “internal art” where the focus is on improving overall health & internal energy (chi).

Taekwondo

Taekwondo for all ages from 4 years old to Adults. Mix of traditional ITF Taekwondo with influence from other styles. Yin Yang Martial Arts is an affiliated member of the United International Taekwon-do Federation. Learning practical & realistic self defence is the key component but we also have a very big focus on self development & building self confidence. Taekwondo is a strong style (think rock) but strongly influenced by Hapkido (think water) making it a well rounded martial art.

Hapkido

Hapkido is a complete Self-Defence system which combines elements of Taekwondo, Aikido & Ju Jitsu. Hapkido incorporates all the blocking, striking & kicking techniques from Taekwondo but it’s main emphasis is on self defence. In Korean, Hap means to co-ordinate, Ki means internal energy & Do means way of. Therefore, Hapkido can be referred to as the way of coordinating & re-directing someone’s energy (re-directing the force rather than stopping it). Tai Chi shares the same principle. Hapkido is the perfect compliment to Taekwondo.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese “Martial Art” integrating the mind & body. Tai Chi is one of the most effective forms of exercises for improving overall health. It is gentle on the body but powerful in terms of building internal & physical strength. Tai Chi is medically proven to relieve arthritis as well as preventing falls for older adults. Tai Chi improves muscular strength, posture, balance and cardiovascular fitness. Tai Chi is intrinsically harmonising which quietens the mind & reduces stress
